The pumkpin patch and a mad chicken!

Yesterday's trip to the pumpkin patch with McRea did not go exactly as planned. She smiled 1 time (in the above picture) and it was forced. She chose to play with grass instead of pumpkins and expressed that she truly hates her costume that mommy picked out! It is cruel, but now I feel very guilty! I didn't think she could hate me until she was a teenager...see for yourself!

Workin' hard for the money!

McRea gets to come to work at least once a week, and while she is here...she works hard!

Traveling the Carolinas!

We travelled again this past weekend to Cool Spring, NC to visit Jay's "Grandma P" and for a family reunion. We had a great rtip and enjoyed the cool fall temperatures!

A sad beginning...

October had a sad start, as Jay's Grandma "D" passed away.

Although she will be terribly missed, we are so glad that she is at peace and out of pain. I am attaching a picture of McRea when she met Grandma for the first time on her 87th birthday. Notice that she has a good hold of her finger! She knew a good one to hold on to! We love you Grandma!

A cold morning ride!

Saturday morning, Jay was going for a walk/run because he's been under the weather. Since we knew we could actually keep up, McRea and I decided to join him! Jay thought I was going a little overboard, but I feared McRea's ears were going to get cold, so I made her wear a hat. It has been in the 50s here in the AM!

Needless to say, she was warm and pretty cute too!
