So I know that I have yet to post the pictures from Christmas, but I had to post the latest news on little McRea. See for yourself!

Santa Claus is coming to town...

We have been extremely busy with work and preparations for the Holidays, but we finally managed to squeeze in a trip to see Santa. Of course, McRea doesn't quite understand all of this yet, but I thought it would be fun to start an annual tradition to see how differently she reacts year after year. So, here she is with her funny self. She was so curious as to this neat, big man was! She never cried and she even sat on his lap while we picked out the best picture. She smiled a few times, but overall, really needed to take a good look at him! He was a great sport! Lucky for Santa, she didn't get hold of that beard!

A month later...

So a month has passed since our last post, and McRea is growing faster than ever. She is starting to get into everything and has the greatest personality. She is always happy and is a joy to be around! We have been really busy and have plans every weekend until Christmas. We have been trying to get the house decorated and get everything ready for Christmas, but with a kitchen remodel going on, I feel like the house is in constant disarray! McRea is loving the lights on the tree, and although there are no ornaments yet, we will most likely have them up a little higher than normal this year because she is trying to crawl more and more every day! This morning at school, she continuously lunged forwarded trying to get to another little girl. It was hilarious. She is determined and hard headed just like both her Mom and Dad. Needless to say we are looking forward to McRea's first Christmas!

Although we don't have any Thanksgiving photos to post yet, I'm posting some of McRea in her Christmas dress as well as some playing on the floor.

On a sad note, today it has been 3 years since my Dad passed away. I miss him every day and I think of him every time I see McRea smile. I know that he would have adored her as much as Jay and I do, and I am sad that they never got to meet. I know he watches over us all every day, and she'll always have a special angel watching over her. McRea will grow up to be a strong little girl just as my sister and I are because of the wonderful things he instilled in us! We love you and miss you Dad!

Big girl bath!

McRea enjoyed the big girl bath (sans the baby tub) tonight for the first time and she loved every minute of it! She loved all of her toys and she was so excited to splash the water everywhere. These are two clips from this new found freedom in the water!

She is a little chunkers these days weighing in at a whopping 19 lbs yesterday at the doctor! she clearly shows all of her lovable rolls here!

A triathlon and trip to the beach!

Jay competed in his first half-ironman triathlon this past weekend in Wilmington and did really well. McRea and I enjoyed the beautiful weather and cheered him on (although she slept a lot!) Here is McRea with a sweaty Daddy at the finish line!

We took a trip to the beach on Sunday before we left and happened upon a kite show. It was really neat and McRea finally caught sight of them in the air! We got some cute pictures of her first experience on the sand! She loved it!

Fun with Dogs!

McRea has become very fond of our first two children, Hatteras and Harley. She cared little about them until recently, and although Hatteras is curious about her, Harley could care less. Since she loves to pet them while being held, we decided to let her play on the floor with them to see what happened. Everyone got along great!

Hatteras decided to get up close and personal with McRea and she was a little shocked by it!

You can tell she was letting him know it was NOT ok with her after the fact!
